About Me
ABOUT ME
Hey there, I'm 31, an early childhood teacher and a sailor. I have taught in Thailand where I currently live for five years with a year in between back home in New Zealand. When my contract ends in July this year (2018) I am heading to the Mediterranean sea to go on a sailing adventure. I plan to make my way west from Greece and may need a couch to crash on in between jumping on board yachts.
More about me, I am very easy going, and independent. I get along with all people and am always willing to learn more about the world around me. I rarely say no to an adventure or opportunity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be officially unemployed come July and wish to make my money last for as long as possible. I have never been to Europe but have met a lot of Europeans in Thailand. And am very keen to be submerged in different cultures to my own.
Interests
I am a water baby, I love snorkeling, diving, and sailing. I am active and love to explore the wild, especially waterfalls! I am an appreciator of all the arts, from exploring visual arts to rocking out to a live band. I have a career as a teacher so am very much an open minded people person, I love my friends and family.
Being in Thailand has opened up my mind to strive to understand a different culture and language to my own.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am not particular with music, I enjoy most of it. I love weird and quirky films especially Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson films. I love to read a good book when I find it. Usually novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mount Rinjani on Lombok Island, Indonesia. For me, I feel like any other hike would be a breeze after that one- except Everest.
It broke me. I thought I was a super tough kiwi girl but then I found my self on the third and final day stumbling downhill over tree roots, sobbing and peering through tears in my eyes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn culture, food, language, people. I can share these things of my own as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am always so excited to share and talk about travel with people who are heading the same way I have been or who are interested. I know a bit about New Zealand!
I am good on a scooter. I definitely share a good laugh and a drink. I have an opinion on how to be good to our youngest citizens.
