ABOUT ME

I rewrote this section so many times and seriously cannot hit upon a description that I think is sufficient.

So I shall go ahead and write an insufficient description regardless.

I am eccentric. I am amusing. I am always hungry. I am easy going. I am crazy. I am talkative, verging on confessional. I am curious. I am simple: feed me, talk to me, take me for walks = happy Anna.

I like novels, poetry, other creative works. If I could have any talent, I would love to be able to paint. My ambition is to be a lecturer in English Literature and a published author. But I'm a soppy romantic, so just spending time with the person/people I love would do just fine. I live as though I may die tomorrow, or you might die tomorrow, so I tend to spend a lot of time with people.

I LOVE people.

But words can only go so far, meet me and find out. My Anna-ness needs to be experienced in real life.

PHILOSOPHY

I live for possibility, the delicious possibility held in any single moment, life is dripping with it: possibility.
And food, I like food a lot.
And words, like these ones, but with extra metaphors . . .
And talking, sound and silence and communication and all that jazz.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet people in and around Sheffield, and other parts of England,
and I may do some surfing this autumn to get away from grey England.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed my way across Canada and had the best time, the people I met, the events and activities they included me in, the sheer friendliness of it all, just reinforced my reckless optimism. I can't wait to do it again!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

cycled through torrential rain in the middle of Quebec countryside to hunt for a postbox, singing to myself 'my shoes are wet, my socks are wet, my feet are wet, my trousers are wet, my legs are wet, my bum is wet . . .' with intermittent swearing when I went over a pothole, and much blinking

and I found a postbox and I sent those letters
