Overview
About Me
hello there :)
I am Anna Jo (or just Jo :}), a Liberal Arts student from Germany.
For the past 2 years I have been finding great joy and passion in discovering ever-new concepts, theories and stories in philosophical and cultural approaches to decolonial studies, unlearning as much as I am learning anew.
However, I wish to explore more practical fields, which is why I will be traveling around for seminars, workshops etc. So far this summer I've done a week of building with cob, I'll be taking part in a summerschool about re-enchanting rural areas of Asturias including a raw earth and wood workshop and a non-violent communication intensive shortly after.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Not only don't I enjoy being a cliché 'tourist', but I also find it much more exciting to see the places through the eyes of a local, to experience the 'actual version' of a city and thus get at least a first impression of what it is like to live there. Getting to know people I would probably never meet otherwise is a second plus which I know to consciously appreciate - especially since I love listening to 'new' people's stories, thoughts and ideas.
Interests
at the moment, I am trying to gain an understanding of how this utterly complex world works in its various ways & where & how I feel most at home...things like traveling and more conscious living just happen to help me do so, which explains most of my interests, I guess :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
running down dragon crest mountain in the pouring rain which turned the trail into a little stream, experiencing bustling cities in the more quiet hours before sunrise, making strangers laugh in a restaurant
