About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to experience as much as I can and see as many amazing things as possible. However, I started to realize that the best thing in the world is people. So right now my mission is to meet all the best ones

ABOUT ME

I'm Anna and I'm 26 years old and from Denmark. I basically love meeting new people and experiencing new places through locals (you see so many places you would never have seen without them!)..
P.s. I'm always really happy and I promise to cook you some awesome danish food!!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything happens for a reason!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love couchsurfing! Mostly been hosted, since my living circumstances do not really make it possible for me to host. Can't wait to host myself later!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The summer 2012 me and a friend couchsurfed in Barcelona and we had such a great time! We saw the most amazing places and met so many people! One of the best experiences I've ever had! After this I was just hooked and this is a gold mine, for meeting awesome people, especially if you are travelling alone!

Interests

I love having fun! I love to talk to strangers and I absolutely hate when people are impolite to people they don't know.. I do love everyone! Haha! :D

I did an exchange year in England and I'm absolutely in love with the pub culture! And Russell Brand, even though he is kind of a psycho!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: On the Road, The Game, Good women of China, The Kite Runner, Peter Pan (because it's awesome)
I think books are amazing and I'll read anything!

Think Tallest Man on Earth is great! And Eddie Vedder, John Mayer, all sorts of awesome stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think travelling is one of the greatest things in this world! It's one thing, but so many stories!

I've done interrail twice and this summer one of the most fantastic experiences was sleeping on the beach in Nice. We didn't wanna pay for a hostel so we just slept there and were woken up by the police early in the morning. The next night we just stay up all night and saw the sun rise and slept all day. It was brilliant. We bathed in the sea and we were probably really disgusting, but I'll never forget it.

My brother got married in California last summer and I kinda fell in love with America. Can't explain it, just-need-to-go-there-again! And I am!

I worked in a orphanage in Madagascar for a while last year and it was incredible. The kids were abandoned and we got to give them lots of attention and hugs, it was great! It kinda surprises you how much fun you can have reading a French book in English to a Malagasy child, who only understand Malagasy, haha! After all they where just kids and loved it and I will never forget any of them.

I travelled around Austrialia for 3 months as well. Hitchhiking, ridesharing, lots of crazy things happened. I travelled with a bunch of French people I met on gumtree and they didn't speak much English. It was so much fun and they even had a chicken in their van, I will never be able to forget those guys! I had to kill spiders with plastic tubs and stayed with a Christian cult for a week (I respect all religions, don't get me wrong, but these were extreme. Quite an experience)

And then I went hitchhiking through the States... You are gonna wanna here those stories...

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll make you the greatest pancakes!!! And Danish meatballs and probably lots of other things that I can't remember right now!
