ABOUT ME

I was born and brought up in Amsterdam where I lived till I was 18. After high school I decided to travel for 10 months and left for South-East Asia, side hopping to China, Japan, Australia and New-Zealand, and the States as last stop.

One return it was hard to settle back in regular life and soon left to do my BSc Product Design in England. Northampton. During my time in England I did an internship in Bangalore, India and in Antwerp, Belgium the year after. After my time in India I traveled from Bangkok to Shanghai overland, to Hong-Kong and Burma before moving to London for my final year.

I moved to Berlin, did another internship and did another big trip traveling from Beijing to the Netherlands overland. Now, after 5-6 years I have moved to Delft where I do a Master Strategic Product Design at the Technical University.

On a more personal note, I'm really outgoing and have a lot of energy. I'm an explorer and adventurer, and love meeting new people. I'm creative and social and enjoy a good laugh, good food and a good drink ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed for the first time in Bangladesh, which was a great experience. I try to combine the tourist trail, see the country and the sights, with glimpsing in the 'real' day to day life of people.

Sometimes I attend meetings, or meet up with people, but mostly like to stay with people and see how they life. Meet their friends and family. I've never had the opportunity to host people because of my life arrangement, but am always willing to show people around, where ever I am at the time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Starting couchsurfing (after having met an occasional person here or there) in Bangladesh, later in Iran and Georgia an will try to continue to meet more people.

兴趣

Loads! I love learning new stuff and am very widely interest. Some of the acitivities I do are snowboarding, sailing, motorcycling, writing, diving, hiking, reading. Next to that am I very creative and like to come up with creative solutions to problems. I enjoy making videos, taking photos and strike up conversations with random people

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I traveled from Beijing to Amsterdam overland by myself, which was absolutely fantastic! I once slept in on the station between homeless people in Japan, that was quite an experience haha.

During the summer of 2016 I made a motorcycle trip with one of my best friends, 5000 km in two weeks going from Amsterdam, Germany, Denmark, Norway to Sweden to eat at one of the best restaurants in the world!
