About Me

I am an easy-going, ocean-loving, adventurous, kind, and respectful person. I call the island of Maui in Hawai'i "home," but am currently living in Portugal with my boyfriend until November 2019. Although we have made a temporary home-base in Portugal, we want to explore the beautiful countries within Europe during our time here. I am passionate about marine/ocean conservation, my favorite ocean animal is the octopus, and my favorite hobby is surfing (in the ocean, in addition to peoples' couches)! I love to experience new cultures, meet new people and hear their stories. I will be couch surfing with my boyfriend, who is kind, considerate, and responsible. While I grew up in the Minnesota suburbs, he grew up on a farm in rural Maui, Hawai'i (lucky guys!). We love to surf, cook dinner, and laugh together. We hope to learn from our hosts, have interesting conversations with our hosts, and have our hosts feel comfortable and at ease with their new couch surfers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer spontaneous travel plans where I can meet local people who are kind enough to share their space, stories, and knowledge of the area. I would love to reciprocate the favor to any host who visits us in Hawai'i someday! Half the fun of traveling is making lifelong connections.
