Über mich
My family and friends would likely describe me as curious, compassionate, adventurous, nerdy, humorous and unusual (in good ways hopefully). It's in my nature to discover and appreciate new ways of life and perspectives, while sharing mine with others. My life philosophy is quite simple, to offer my best to the world and dance like no one's watching.
I thrive in environments that integrate community, diversity and sustainability. Now you may think, these are just catchy keywords that everyone uses. But I'm serious. I truly believe that all things in the universe are immensely interconnected, in ways that we don't have the capacity to fully understand. My appreciation for the connection we share with each other, with other living things, and with the environment, is growing exponentially by the day. For this evolving perspective, I must thank the people who have inspired and mentored me in all walks of life.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I'm about to embark on a 3-month trip to broaden my horizon and gain an experience of living. My trip will consist primarily of Europe, and some of India and Asia. I'm an amateur traveler. Many of my friends have recommended CS as one of the best platforms to explore new places through the eyes of local residents, so I look forward to sharing positive experiences with the CS community.
My priority in traveling is to be mindful of my impact as a tourist on the local community and environment. As much as possible, I prefer to stay with the locals and integrate into their daily lives, which I think is the best way to appreciate their cultural values and traditions. Likewise, when the time is right, I would love to host Couchsurfers and share my city and culture with others.

To be honest, I always have a hard time remembering favorites, but when I encounter them I know they're my favorites.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
This is a philosophical question. How does one define amazing? Is skydiving more amazing than flying a kite? Is becoming a billionaire more amazing than earning enough to feed a family? Is meeting international travelers more amazing than talking with my neighbors?
To me, many things are amazing and beautiful in their own ways. Watching sunset by the ocean is amazing. Drinking wine under a full moon is amazing. Laughing or crying with friends is amazing. Snuggling with my dog is amazing. Falling in love is amazing. Falling out of love could be amazing. Tutoring young children is amazing. Running a marathon in Washington DC is amazing. Running across a bridge or through a tunnel is amazing. Creating memories with loved ones is amazing. Creating memories with strangers is amazing. Teaching my niece and nephew how to build an electrical circuit is amazing. Learning how to install solar panels is amazing. Being healthy and alive is amazing, and of course a blessing. Helping others and preserving nature are even more amazing.
