ABOUT ME

I am always optimistic and laughing, sometimes quite sarcastic and very curious about new people and new countries. Oh and awfully clumsy, though I usually only hurt myself!
Since I have been an exchange student in the US in 11th grade I am addicted to travelling. Once you had that feeling of flying or travelling somewhere without having any idea how the next few months or weeks are going to turn out, you do not want to miss this feeling again. I lived in Wisconsin for 11 months and later, after my high school exam, worked in Mexico City at an orphanage for four months. Both trips brought so many great and unexpected experiences with them and I learned so much about myself during this time. I met people from all over the world and I am still in touch with some of them. I love cooking, experimenting with it and trying new food.

PHILOSOPHY

I love nature and photography and as much as I like traveling. I think it is important not to overlook the beauty in our everyday live. No matter if it is some street art or somebody making soap bubbles from their balcony (ok usually I am that somebody).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my trip to the Baltics I stayed in a crazy house with 10 housemates, about 10 couch surfers and a couple of music instruments in Tallinn, the next guy confused the dates and just left us his apartment keys, because he was out of town, and we stayed with a guy, who translated porn sites from English in Norwegian - it was always crazy, but I loved it!

cooking and baking (I guess you noticed), photography and literature, especially in English, seeing and also playing theatre, also hiking and swimming in lakes. And I will adopt any pets, as long as they have fur and four legs.

all kinds of music from rock, ska, reggae, oldies or singer/songwriter stuff and I also like English and American classics and I am a big fan of the discworld books and dystopian or feminist sci-fi, but in general I will read almost anything - I basically always have a book with me and due to my friends I fell in love with Wes Anderson's movies.

I visited a natural formed pool on the top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere in Mexico with the most amzing view.
I also had a great time working on a farm for a few weeks in Sweden - milking goats and making cheese.
