Do you know how to reupholster things? If so, please stay with me. I've been wanting to host surfers but my couch needs reupholstered and I'm just not getting around to it on my own so some helper-motivation would be excellent. (UPDATE--the work on the couch has BEGUNNNNNN!!! but it's not finished yet, so my request about reupholstering is still valid).

My husband (couchsurfer profile: Daniel Nygaard) and I have a one-bedroom apartment in SW Portland, with a cute porch garden and convenient access to public transit (take the 12 bus to downtown). You're welcome to the couch or the blow-up mattress. Unfortunately it's not very private (the kitchen/dining/living-room is one open space).

We loved surfing while we were in Europe last summer and would be happy to return the favor.

I'm a full-time, non-traditional Student at Portland State University where I'm a psychology major. I like hiking/traveling/eating-fancy-food with the husband, as well as singing, discussing things, community work, and trying new things.

I started an after-school drama program in Honduras at a K-12 school when I was 19 and after that I filled my life-long dream of seeing a broadway show (and living near) NYC. I'm originally from a rural area and so I never knew how many amazing things I would get to see and be a part of!
