Overview
About Me
Hey everyone, welcome to my profile! My name is Annalise (pronouns: she/her). Originally I am from Bloomington, Indiana but I am currently a student at Ithaca College in Upper State New York. I am studying Sociology (which is basically the study of why people do what they do). I am currently working at the Education Intern at Planned Parenthood in Ithaca, New York. I enjoy being challenged by new thoughts and ideas, inside and outside of the classroom. I love to listen and learn as much as I enjoy to talk and teach. My big dream is to experience every country and culture in the world. So far I have been to Canada, Ethiopia, and Tanzania. In the United States I have been to 41 out of the 51 states (including Puerto Rico). Currently I live with my beautiful partner, Vanessa, who is my all time favorite travel companion. I am a huge advocate for intersectional feminism, the Black Lives Matter movement , Trans Rights, and LGBTQ+ Rights. No matter how you identify, you deserve respect. Can’t wait to meet you!

Worked in Tanzania for 2 months, learning from local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that focused on improving women and children’s access to healthcare, education, and financial security.
