I try to be open to new experiences and also to be accepting of everyone's differences. I try not to be judgemental or buy into stereotypes. I'm motivated by ideas rather than possessions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

keen to show people my town and also to surf... I usually try to have an overseas holiday every year, would love to hang out with locals and not just be just another suck-it-up oblivious tourist on the same ol' tourist trail

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

as a NZer who spent 2.5 years in London, i have lots of experience on couches. I'm not a great cook (sorry!) but definitely a good cleaner and always respect the space and property of others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently into Bruce Sterling, Neal Stephenson and Chvrches, School of Seven Bells and a million other bands. Favourite director = Lars von Trier. Arthouse movies are my thing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nearly dying 3 times on a one week holiday - bush fire x1, near drowning x2. Do not take swimming lessons from me! I also got lost in a tropical jungle in Samoa and ended up on the beach where they were filming Survivor. The crew couldn't believe I had made it onto the closed set - I just wanted a drink and to find the road outta there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always like talking to people who share (some of) my interests so we can spark off each other and make new connections - neural and behavioural! On the other hand, it's always interesting to speak to people who are very different to yourself, so you can try to see things from a new perspective, one you might not have considered before.
