Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My family and i are keen to meet and welcome people from around the world and show them our beautiful city.
ABOUT ME
My husband and I have two daughters (aged 23 and 28). Our eldest daughter travelled in Canada where she couchsurfed with some really nice people. As her Mum, I was very nervous about it but it was fine!
We live in a family house in a busy part of Bristol and can offer up to two spare rooms.
When I was a child my parents were Esperantists and we welcomed people into our home from all over the world. This sounds similar.
PHILOSOPHY
Tolerance, pacifism, trying to make a positive contribution and improve things for others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment, just by hosting. But, you never know, we might choose to travel and couchsurf one day.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I joined in 2008 while my daughter was travelling and have been hosting for about 2 years. We've had some lovely people to stay with us.
Now becoming more actively involved. I have hosted quite a few couchsurfers and they have all been lovely people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm really bad at getting to the cinema and seem to miss most of the movies I want to see. My husband and children are very keen on music so I tend to go along with their tastes. I do love Bob Dylan who was a strong influence in my teens.
I read very widely and belong to a book group. I really enjoy poetry.
Teach, Learn, Share
People who are interested in ideas and conversation.
