Overview
About Me
I'm a 30 years old teacher, an activist and a free-lance translator but before that I've worked as a bar-tender, waitress, babysitter and aupair in the UK.
I like languages, literature and history (boring stuff :) !), reading, writing, travelling, go on my city bike and try to fix it, meet new people, cooking, eating, change often my habits and ideas about life and people (but always in a better way), and definitely I like to talk and talk :) I am a quite talkative person! I do like politics, I could say it became a strong and very important part of my life. I'm a kind of passionate person, I need and feels necessary to get involved with other people in things that matters in my country, town or in the places that I visit. I love life, learn about new cultures and languages, "create" in the most general meaning (relations, handmade stuff, cooking experiments, etc etc), enjoy my time and share my occupations with other smart, curious and respectful human beings. I consider my self a caring , respectful and very inquiring person, inerested in a lots of things, in how this world works and sometimes really critic about that, but able to see the "bright side" of things and have relaxing and easy time with people :)
Love to travel when I can, in a symbolic way during my every day life with people I share my life with, with people I shared parts of my life but are now far from me, with new people I meet on my way, with places and situation I live every day, with books, with pictures and arts... tryng to take the best and learn the most from any moment.
I am from Italy, was born in Sardinia but moved early to Rome and then to Bologna where I still live, love and work.
Life is to share whit great people, so... Hope to meet you soon on our way :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm really new on this platform. I am on Couchsurfing because I love this way of travelling, sharing knowledges and experiences and "lives", maybe guided by local people on the place you are visting.
The occasion to be there just arrived when I was in England for a 3 months stay as an au-pair in a small town near Cambridge and wanted to travel England sharing the experience with most new people I could (I hope also english people) to make the journey richer and maybe meet new good friends :)
Can re pay you by cooking some italian food together, having interesting chats, tasty beers!
Interests
Trekking and walk in the nature environment, observing, photography but I had no camera, reading and listening to good music (love classical music), writing when I am able to do it, knitting quiete inexpertly..
I love architecture and when I travel I am always really fascinated by that, how cities and places look like and how time changed or markes them (can be boring for someone, but I definetly love it!), love arts (especially painting) and go to visit exhibitions and museum when I can, history of places and institutions (and local history). Love cycling and walking, that is to say slow and low impact life, home made things, cooking some times.. more and more, and definitely love to talk :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Haven't got "A" favorit book or movie or music.. Just like lots and think I won't be able to make a proper list of them :)
Can say that I love classics in literature (I love all, I've studied it), poetry as classic as modern, european and south american literature and more and more (From Fitzgerald to Coe to Virginia Woolf passing from DeLillo, Pessoa)
Jazz funk rock classic and world music.. From Violent Femmes to Bach :)
What else?
Love biopics and documentaries, but also good movies that made the history of cinema.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Italian and Spanish; how to make a good parmigiana and carbonara (veggie variant as well!) or some sardinian desserts. I would like to learn new languages and local recipes, or simply exchange good time and ideas with my hosts :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Could share some knowledges about what I've studied and what I've lived until now, good feelings and good vibes :)
