ABOUT ME

What can I say to describe myself? I like to know new people and share with them thoughts, dreams or just a simple chat. I am really keen on traveling and discovering new cultures and new way to see the same "stuff" from a different prospective. I am a passionate and really fair person. I like reading, going to theatre, going to cinema, going around, going to park, going to food festival, music festival, cultural festival (all kind of festival)...I am fond of volunteer, I did it in UNICEF and Africa day in Ireland and for the Film festival too, but the greatest experience was the Africa day, with all African traditions, food, habits and really happy people that never stop smiling, even in the worst situation. We should really learn from them, they have the greatest spirit ever. I learned how to dance Kizomba (one of the most popular genres of dance and music from Angola) and how to see always the glass half full :) The last thing, however not the less important considering that I spend almost all my week evenings there, I love to dance salsa, merengue and bachata and this is another wonderful way to meet new people and share a common interest.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started in CS because Mirna asked me to go for a walk in Dolkey at the end of September 2008 with them and I start to get into the idea of CS and then I participate to various events/trips organized by Dublin groups and in New York.

Dante Alighieri, Joyce, Wilde, Coelho, Shakespeare(everything), Italo Svevo, Pirandello, Boccaccio, Milton, Chaucer, Montaigne, La Fontaine, Catullo, Petronio, Cervantes, Lope de Vega and a lot a lot more, it would be impossible to say all the books that I liked, there is a long list, so I will fly to the other point: movies. All movies with Al Pacino, all the movie with Robert De Niro(even if I think that Al Pacino is the best), all movie with Robbie William even if my favorite one is Patch Adams, Jack Nicholson in Shining and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest...but there are so many cinematic masterpiece that it is also impossible to mention every single movie that I loved. Music: pfuuuuu long list here too, unfortunately I am not English mother tongue so the majority of the time I am just pretending to sing and I don't know all the titles, I am really good in inventing though :P. So my favorite groups are Pink Floyd, Queen, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Scorpions, Tracey Chapman, Carlos Santana etc etc....I can listen everything except heavy metal :) gives me headache!

I could teach Italian culture and language and of course Italian cuisine, salsa, reggeaton and bachata, a bit of painting and how to manage profitably time ;) I would like to learn more about any other culture, from the north to the south, from east to west, from the most exotic place to the most cold...everything is worth!!!
