CURRENT MISSION
To learn and have fun doing it!
ABOUT ME
People say I'm a smiley person because I like laughing lots :)
I just finished up my degree in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo (in Canada) and moved to San Francisco for full-time work this summer and am super psyched about it! I like to think I'm a pretty laid back person, I generally like trying new things and when I go traveling I always make sure to check out the "touristy things", but I'm joining CS to hopefully see more local attractions!
PHILOSOPHY
Be happy! Or fake it :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had my first CS experiences when I stayed with a couple of different people during a backpacking trip through Europe. Would love to try out the hosting side as well!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've heard awesome things from people I know who have used CS. Decided I should give it a try myself :) and am super excited about it!
Interests
My roommate suggested three things I like for this section: I LOVE tofu, I'm addicted to spinach and my guilty pleasure is watching Glee!
I also love science, I ALWAYS order wheat beer and recently have gotten into rock climbing. I also like meeting new people, going out, and organizing events on campus. People say I'm really smiley.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a lot of different types of movies, but lately I'm always in the mood for chick flicks. Some of my favourites are Love Actually, Pretty Woman, and anything Disney. I also loved The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Without thinking much beforehand, I signed up for "Tough Mudder". This is a "marathon" where you go through 12 miles of hills doing challenges like running through fire, dipping your head under ice water, getting electrocuted by live wire, running up a quarter pipe etc. It was incredible pushing ourselves to get to the end of it.
A ridiculous experience that comes to mind was dressing up in pig suits with some friends and running around San Francisco. A start-up in the area was filming a commercial for which they needed a hundred pigs. I think it was just a fun/memorable experience. I posted a pic!

Teach, Learn, Share
From my school studies I've learned a bit about biology, especially genetics! I also know some stuff about programming and I've got some stories about working in the bay area.
