Overview
About Me
I am a 25 year old french girl from Paris. Few months ago I quit my job as a business developer and decided to travel and enjoy life instead of always pushing back to tomorrow. I am an optimistic person. I am really clean and organized, I will clean the dishes for sure and I will leave the place as clean as it was. :D
So far I've been in Australia (Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane) while selling strawberries.
I am currently in Japan working in a bar and I want to come back in Australia for a couple of months.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My purpose is not traveling as a tourist and hit as many cities as I can: I want to immerse myself in the country culture I am. I believe the best way to do it is meeting local people.
I already did couchsurfing in Japan 2 years ago while hitchhiking and I really enjoyed the experience. I met amazing people. Its one of by best travel experience so far. (We used y my brother couchsurfing account)
I am doing this trip on my own but I am looking forward to spending time with people and to sharing stories and adventures.
Interests
I am a PADI Open Water diver and I'd would like to get the Advanced Open Water licence. I enjoy everything related to water : boat, beaches, swimming..
I started yoga and would like to learn more about it.
I love going out and socialize : bars, restaurants, art exhibits..
Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
My favorite band would be Queen. I am not really into rock music but I have a thing for their rhythms and Mercury's voice.
MOVIES
I am always looking forward to discovering awesomes movies. So far my favorites movies are:
- Life is beautiful (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1084398-life_is_beautiful)
- The Truman show (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/truman_show)
- Incendies (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/incendies/)
BOOKS
Traveling with books is not really convenient, it can be heavy. I usually like reading true stories and novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Before going for this trip I made a 10 days trek in France on the "St Jacques de Compostelle" trail. Walking 6 hours a day made me feel alive. The whole purpose of this trip was to take to think while walking.
I was able to appreciate the simple things in life: the sunshine, the countryside landscapes, the effort, the rest after a long day.
This trek made me realise that everything is about the journey and not the destination.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook dinner in order to share stories and to learn to know each others. :)
