About Me

After I sold all my belongings, I had the great pleasure to live my dream and travel the world for almost 3 years and believe me, I had a blast! After meeting the greatest people, climbed the highest mountains, swam with the hugest turtles and overcame my fears in rain forests, suffered from insecurity and bad stomachs and learned 2980 lessons I am now back in my birth country Austria and live a very settled, crazy life in the beautiful capital of Vienna.

ABOUT ME

I love good conversations, but sometimes to sit without talking, Latte Macchiato from my Italian mocca but no coffee, I like walking around but not in a big crowd, I like dancing, but most of the time I am too shy, and sometimes being lazy but going out until early in the morning...and i love balconies, i don't know why.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am always curious to meet people and I truly believe that a trip is about the individuals you meet, not the country you visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, mainly alternative and rock

Movies, i don't watch many movies or television and if I do I forget every title immediately. I heard about this thing called Netflix only a few weeks ago (2016) when I visited the States. Yep...haha...a few years later then others but now I am totally in love with it.

Books, many books. Every day a little dose of reading. I guess without that I would feel kind of lost in this big wild world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- sleeping in a hammock in the Amazon jungle
- volunteering at world famous Galapagos Islands for 2 month
- strolling around Istanbul s street for more than a month, basically visiting all the coffeeshops and eating as many köfte as possible.
- living and working with Hippies in Olympos/ South Turkey
- painting treehouses in the jungle of Puerto Rico
- learning to bake pita from Mayan girls in Semuc Champey / Guatemala
- drinking gin and tonics and eating sicilian pistaccio ice cream on a private roof top terrace overlooking the skyline of San Francisco at night with one of my favourite cs hosts
- crossing various borders without a valid passport or identity card
- giving away all my staff and feeling free like a bird
- assisting biologists and vets to measure and weight huge sea turtles
- sitting on top of Tikal temple IV
- driving around El Salvador with a guy I met on a busstation
- driving along the coast and stopping for a picture on every single little beach in Southern California
- exploring, living, breathing
- swimming in the most turquise sea in the Dominican Republic
- 4 days with A. from CS who showed me his personal, unique, individual Havanna
- guiding tourists in the jungle of Guatemala
- learning how to bake the most delicious banana cake
- riding Colombia s north east coast on a motorcycle with my best friend
- driving through half Nicaragua in local buses just to watch Netflix for 2 entire days with a person I have never seen before but became my friend
- huging ways more people in one year of traveling then 28 years before.
- camping alone under palm trees at the beach with "Jimmy" my small blue tent that I have bought in a supermarket in Riohacha in high season as I couldnt find any affordable accommodation - best thing ever done
- volunteering on a working coffee farm in Manizales for almost 3 month
- living and travelling without any electronical devices for several weeks but with an old fashioned travel alarm
