ABOUT ME

Dia dhaoibh :)(Hello in the Irish language).

My name is Anna. I'm Irish and I am currently travelling and working with my boyfriend, Vincent, from France. We love the simple life. Escaping from the everyday routine and social pressures is what we try to do where we can learn a bit about ourselves and others. We try to eat local, vegetarian and organic produce. We love to learn about different cultures and the way people live.

I love music, food and learning about all types of people from different walks of life. I play the flute and sax and dabble in the art of jazz. Vincent and I are massive hiking fans. We have done a lot of overnight hiking and hope to hike in different places on our next big trip along the silk road through China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia! Any advice is appreciated!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am travelling at the moment and am in 'surfing' mode but would love to host when I stay a while in the same place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have couch surfed in Taiwan and France. Had only positive experiences meeting local people who knew about the area and were willing to share the country's hidden secrets!

Interests

Food !!! I love trying new dishes, especially from the place I'm travelling.

Music - I love jazz and I play sax and flute. I like a lot of different music too.

Languages - I speak Irish and French and a bit of Spanish and Italian. Teach me your language please!

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading has always been a great hobby of mine. I like to read books about the lives of individuals and communities in different places unknown to me. I'm very interested in the way people identify themselves with their culture and their country.

I enjoy most types of music although I'm not so fond of the pop hits (the radio re-runs). I love jazz, blues, rap, reggae and especially enjoying funk at the moment!

I have just discovered that I can put movies on my ipad so if you have any films on a hard drive I'd really appreciate if you'd share them!

Helped build an earth oven while wwoofing on a permaculture farm!

I would be delighted to help you learn English, my native language. I can also teach you the Gaelic Irish language and French if you'd like.
