ABOUT ME
We're pretty much down to earth and enjoy the simple things in life. Good company, delicious food, music, movies, reading and some exercise - I especially love to move around the city on a bike.
I appreciate honest people with honest opinions, a light and positive approach to life and good sense of humor. Artificiality is not my cup of tea. You like animals too? Wonderful!
PHILOSOPHY
Do what you want, but hurt nobody doing it. Keep on being positive and appreciate the day and the things you have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have been participating in CS-events. We have been counchsurfing and have really enjoued it. We are waiting for the approproate conditions for hosting a couchsurfer, and we expect it to be possible sometime this summer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In July 2010 we visited Vilnius, Lithuania. For two nights we stayed with a Lithuanian couple, and it was a very nice experience. They took us out to the nightlife and tended to our hunger at their place. Though some friends, I've also met a few travellers that use the CS network.
We were recently in NZ and Australia and both places we managed to find a CS host.

Music, Movies, and Books
Harry Potter, Ryszard Kapuszcinski, Fred Vargas, Diana Gabaldon, Tolkien, etc. plus a host of non-fiction on society, politics, history and ecology.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been close to a humpback whale, diving, couchsurfing with nice people. The most extreme things: bungy jumping and skydiving in New Zealand!
Teach, Learn, Share
This is the ideal way to travel - to really be a traveller, not just a tourist, and exploring a place from the basis of a local resident. I find exchanging cultural ideas and breaking down prejudices and stereotypes piece by piece in the process very gratifying. It also makes you realize how similar we all are.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Canada, France, Lithuania, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
