ABOUT ME

I'm an optimistic and adventurous Swede with a somewhat ironic taste for humour who's thrilled by all that life actually has to offer, travelling and meeting new people being one amongst these things. I like the alone-in-the world feeling that really early mornings give me and the we've-been-friends-forever atmosphere that really late nights bring. I hate lazy days in the sun on a crowded beach but like to read on a cliff by the sea during the Swedish summer.

Interests

I'm definitely a person of many occupations and small hobbies but my true interest lies is in the exciting process of trying to understand how the society of which we're all a part of (willingly or unwillingly) works and why it is the way it is. Other than that I'm interested in travelling, obviously, and what that does to people. I also always carry a book around and rarely say no to the opportunity to spend some time in the mountains (hiking, snowboarding, sleeping, laughing, thinking, eating, drinking).

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm open to new influences but enjoyed, amongst other films, Snatch, Dogville, This must be the place, 12 angry men, Little Miss Sunshine, Stock Lock and Two Smoking Barrels, Finding Nemo, Django. I also enjoy stories written by Astrid Lindgren, Arto Paasilinna, Fred Vargas, Virginia Wolf and titles like Fahrenheit 451, Life of Pi, The kite runner. As for music I'm very into jazzy funky hip-hop (or hip-hopy funky jazz) at the moment but some of the things that I come back to are King's of Convenience, Jack Johnson, Ane Brun, Cornelius Vreeswijk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The simplest of things really. The image of a fire beneath a tree in the mountains, laying in a hammock under tons of blankets watching the stars, a really good concert, a summer night at one of the many cliffs in Sweden.
