A little about myself.. I absolutely love good food and good wine. A large part of my interest in travel is to experience and gain knowledge of other cultures. I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri smack in the middle of the United States. I have been running a school culinary program for three years now, and it is truly a rewarding job. I am a strong independent woman who lives for good music and a good laugh.

I believe the need for traveling is one of the most important traits or goals a person should have. Wanderlusts always become fast friends of mine. I take one big trip a year, and this year I am returning to France with an undetermined flight home. I have moved to Colorado and Chicago and traveled to most of states except the Pacific Northwest area (unfortunately). My need for other cultures is palpable and I feel I am at the perfect time in my life to cast off and see all that I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People should feel comfortable while they are traveling and also be able to afford it. Couchsurfing helps save money, meet people, and experience a new city with a trusting local! I hope to meet more people traveling through Kansas City that I can host!

I will be flying into Paris on 22 May with an undetermined flight home. I am hoping to find new friends to show and teach me about their culture!

Currently reading "Wherever You Go There You Are" by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Before that I was reading a lot of Chuck Klosterman. Always reading Murakami. I love philosophy as well... Camus will always have cherished books in my home. Also reading cook books cover to cover is a great past time for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always willing to teach what I know, and learn about things I don't know! I love teaching anything culinary. I also graduated in massage therapy two years ago and can teach techniques for stretching/ healing any ailments and also energy work.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very respectful guest in anyone's home. Very laid back and adaptable to any needs. When I travel I love days to myself to explore, but feel lucky if someone can show me around! I hope to cook and gift little goods from Kansas City to anyone who can host me, and hopefully good lasting friendship!
