About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to figure out where i'm headed

ABOUT ME

I'm a 33 years old girl, living in Lyon (a very cool city) and currently working as a body piercer, once was a nurse trying to start a new life as a programmer
i try to travel as much as i can but my current job is not allowing that much travelling right now, i'm lacking the time. So instead, i run. A lot. I trail run, to be exact. This way i can be outdoors and i can challenge myself every sunday!

Having lived in Dublin for a year and a half (10 years ago...), i fell in love with the anglo saxon culture and language!! i try to speak as much english as possible!! this is why i think my cat is super fluent now!

PHILOSOPHY

i'm freaking out about getting old and let life pass me by. Trying to enjoy every moment of it by trying to make the best choices for myself and sticking up to them, trying not to regret anything. Achievements are essentials to my way of life and what makes me proud! I like changes, i get bored pretty easily so i have to take things further on a regular basis to keep myself interested!!
cause you gotta love what you do!!

I love people who know how to put on a good fight for their beliefs! I need to be around people who are aware of the world we live in, so they will know how to make it better FOR EVERYONE. For women, minorities, animals etc!
I'm a feminist, vegan, punk rock activist. Proud to fight everyday for what i believe in! And doing it with wit and style!! ^^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been hosting since nov 2014. I've welcomed some real interesting and friendly people so far and I'm eager for more! I'm not much of a chatty person at first cause I'm kinda shy and I keep it to myself but when you get to know me, you can't get me to shut up!! I'd love to host more but i can't really now since our current appartment is so small and our couch is so uncomfortable!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

On summer 2015, i was on a trip through Scotland, and I've been couchsurfing most of the time. it's been great fun and people have been so nice and welcoming. I really love that spirit and wish I could have spent more time with them. I couchsurfed at some guy's place once, and a year later, i bumped into him while he was working in the same bar as my boyfriend, in Lyon!! He just decided to move here and it was so unexpected and funny! We've been good friend since! I just love when that happens!
I also couchsurfed while i was visiting Italy in 2016 from Genoa to Firenze, through the Cinque Terre and Pisa. I met such nice people there!

the experience has been really good so far! i intend to keep it that way! this way of life and way of travel inspires me so much and I can't wait for my next experience!
next step: i'm gonna challenge spanish people in Sevilla, Cordoba and Grenade

UPDATE: Andalusia was awesome, i met some guy there who knew about punk rock bands i'm listening to and that is actually pretty amazing! i met a girl who took me to some vegan, lesbian activist restaurant in Granada! I loved it, it was so fierce! Amazing time there, but really shitty weather (Yeah you read alright: SHITTY WEATHER IN ANDALUSIA!!)

Next step: Mallorcaaaaa!

Interests

I love music, traveling and trying every single vegan burger in the world, reading harry potter for the 100th time, drinking wine on a terrasse while rebuilding the world with my friends! Watching disney movies while singing my lungs out and drinking hot chocolate (i've got the mind of an 8 year old!)
I love trail running for that huge kick in the ass you have to give to yourself to get to that top of the hill! and when you cross that finish line!!! GOOD TIMES GOOD TIMES GOOOOOD TIMES!!

So basically, anything that procures this awesome feeling like this stuff you're experiencing, it's just too much and your heart might explode

i'm seriously getting involved in the protection of the animalkind. been volunteering for Sea Shepherd once, it changed my life!

In a couple of years, once i'm finished learning coding and programming, i'd love to travel around the world and fix me and my tiny family in different places and live in each place for a couple of months. I want to live in Morocco, New Zealand, Tahiti, Sweden... And we're gonna go and check the polar lights out!!

and of course there's music! music music music every single minute of every single day! or i wish... Punk rock music will save the world, i know it will!! Or at least Bad cop/Bad cop will !!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to be an open mind
i try to get to know other people tastes in music because i think there's no kind of music that's better than another, there are just more gifted artists. you can have awesome and crappy jazz, as you can have awesome and crappy pop music etc
i'm trying not to be too much of a snob about stuff like that and i really don't like people who are...

Punk Rock rules!! when i discover a song or an artist i can go on forever on it, listennign to the song a 100 times in a row!

some names: HOT WATER MUSIC and the ultimate boss CHUCK RAGAN//
IRON CHIC// TENDER DEFENDER// MASKED INTRUDER// BAD RELIGION//WEEZER// TEENAGE BOTTLE ROCKET// RED CITY RADIO// BAD ASTRONAUT// FOO FIGHTERS// FRANK TURNER// ME FIRST AND THE GIMMIE GIMMIES// MORIARTY// KASABIAN// THE RACONTEURS// THE WHITE STRIPES// AGAINST ME// BAD COP/BAD COP//RISE AGAINST

etc....
and my ultimate idol: the emperor NEIL YOUNG! Hail to the Chief!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

that's a trick question...
there are too many, i couldn't pick one...
Well for once, i've become a nurse!! Well done, me!
I'd say watching the whales jump in the freezing water of the Tadoussac bay is definately up there!!
But having seen Oasis at Wembley is a close second...

Teach, Learn, Share

As far as sharing goes, i'd say i can take you out on the town. Drinking beer and cockails is something i know how to do! I know loads of different places: pubs, bars, cafés ...

i'd love to learn how to speak russian and how to surf and skate

i really don't know what i could teach you though... or would you be interested in learning CPR??? ;)
ooh and I know how to say turtle, tortoise and spider in sign language!! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

i'd love to share your views of the world we live in, the paths we can take to make it a better place!
i'd love to share a vegan meal with you so you'll know best things in life are cruelty-free
i'd love to share a great punk rock music show so you'll know how much music brings us together
