About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Baking the meanest brownie/burning my parents' kitchen

ABOUT ME

Although I've experienced many different types of travel - driving through the australian desert, backpacking in the balkans, exploring Africa with my parents to university trips in Europe's most exciting cities - I've never tried couchsurfing before.

I'm just about to spend a few months on exchange in New York, and I have to admit I'm a bit intimated by the big apple! My roomates in London used Couchsurfing and loved it, so I though it would be an exciting and different way to start my stay there.

PHILOSOPHY

Let's answer this in 10 years time when I know a bit more about life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One more member! I'll do my best to be a good one...I guess anyone who's after tips on Antananrivo's best restaurant or Parisian second-hand shop should ask here!

Music, Movies, and Books

At the Moment, I'm reading Milan Kundera and listening to Arcade Fire most of the time. Last movie was Melancholia from Lars von Trier, which I liked.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Burek, a traditional pastry from the balkans. Not only did I see it, I also ate it. Really amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach:
- how to pay your respects in Kiswahili
- write an international treaty (studied international law last year)
- cook a good French casserole
- several origami figures

I'm learning watercolour at the moment and would love to make an album from New York when I'm there, so I'd really like to find someone who likes it too!

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Germany, Ghana, Italy, Kenya, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Namibia, Niger, Rwanda, South Africa, Spain, Togo, Zambia

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Benin, Burundi, Côte d'Ivoire, France, Madagascar
