ABOUT ME

I'm an Italian girl, coming from Sicily.
I got my Bachelor Degree in Restoration of Cultural Heritage in February 2013 and now I'm just going around a bit, trying to do what I like most.
I'm interested in many artistic things such as music, photography and handicrafts. I love also cooking, especially desserts, even vegan ones, 'cause I'm a vegetarian.
Although I'm a bit shy I love meeting new people, sharing and exchanging experiences with them, and I'm also used to grow fond of people very easily.
I haven't travelled a lot yet but I really would like to. I think that one of the most beautiful way of travelling and visiting new places is not just going around as a tourist, but meeting people, living their own city with them, exchanging and sharing experiences, spendng time together.

Interests

I like many artistic things...I love listening to music and also playing music. I was a singer in a band down in Sicily and I really love singing, 'cause is one of the things that makes me feel better while I'm doing it.
I also make handmade stuff such as wallets, puppets, earrings, sewing up together coloured fabrics, and I would like it to become also a working activity.

I like drawing, and when I travel I often bring with me a book, a pen and watercolours! I usually have with me my camera too but I often prefer having a break and relax drawing what I see around me!

One of my favourite things to do is also cooking, especially if I do it for other people!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to music almost always,anything I'm doing..especially if I'm walking alone,or having a journey on a bus or a train, or working on something or cooking, or just relaxing at home!
I'm a singer and I'm used to sing rock, blues, soul and rock'n'roll.
I like many different music genres, from rock, blues, soul, jazz to classical, folk, ballads...
I chose the music I want to llisten to depending on what I'm doing and how do I feel like in that moment!
Among the artists that I like listening to there are Etta James, Nina Simone, Cat Stevens, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Tune-yards, Frank Zappa, Tunng, Quintorigo, Area,Ben Harper, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ray Charles, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Esperanza Spalding, and many many others!
I like also many italians singers-songwriters such as Lucio Dalla, Samuele Bersani, De Gregori, Guccini, Rino Gaetano.

I like watching movies although I must confess that many times happens to me to fall asleep!
I love Jesus Christ Superstar (although maybe it can't be defined a proper movie..), Once, Hair and many movies by Paolo Sorrentino or movies where Toni Servillo (who I think is one of my favourite actors!) acts.

About books, my favourite author is Antonio Tabucchi. Sometimes it happens to me that I start reading something but for some reason I can't manage to be constant, and I temporarily quit reading. Well, it never happens to me with Tabucchi's books!
