I've hosted a few people, and have been a surfer a few times as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The first time I've tried it - it was literally a life-changing experience. I stayed with a kind, hospitable host in New York 8 years ago - and because of that opportunity decided to move to the city :)
