About Me

Hey!
I'm a 19 years old girl who lives in Montreal, Canada.

First, I'm a very easy going girl who loves to meet/talk/share with people. I'm really opened minded and passionate.

I think that traveling is the best way to learn about life and I find so important to see/discover the earth we live on.
I'm really interested to learn different things and live many experiences!

I began to travel with my parents when I was young. But in the adolescence, I did an humanitarian internship to Guatemala (voluntary work in a hospital for babies who suffer from malnutrition) and it changed my vision of traveling. I am much more a backpack traveler who likes to make a difference where I go.

My most recent journey was this summer. I left for Africa during three weeks. I visited South Africa a couple of days and then I went to stay with nuns and did voluntary work as a nurse in a health clinic in Lesotho. Yes, I saw many different lifestyles and poverty there, but always smiling and welcoming faces.

This trip made me realise that I wanted to be part of the big travelers' family of the world. I think everyone has something to share and that we benefit from all the meetings that we make in our life (give, receive and share).

I'm also a fan of nature! Hiking, camping, canoeing, etc. I did canoe-camping expeditions each summer from 10 to 18 years old! So we can say I'm not afraid to get dirty and I love to work hard!

I leave this winter for a solo/backpack trip to visit a small part of Europe (Madrid, Barcelona and Toulouse). I began to use Couchsurfing not so long ago (I know I'm late!) so I don't have a lot of reviews but if I message you, feel free to add me on Facebook (Anne Charpentier-Hébert) and instagram (annecharp). We could also use Skype or Facetime in the future!

I look forward to talk to you and maybe meet you!
-Anne

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As we know traveling can be expensive and that's why I think Couchsurfing is great alternative and also a perfect way to meet new people and make new friends! I also think Couchsurfing is about giving and receiving!! I would be so happy to help my host in their house like cleaning/cooking, etc. And I'm interested to see how people live in their contries and to learn about the cultural and cooking differences.

I'm all about recognition and respect for all the hosts around the world! xx
