Overview
About Me
What's up! I'm Anne and I apparently speak English in a weird mixture of American/Scottish and Northern English accents.
In the last 10+ years I have not lived in the same place for longer than 3 years - which is something I wouldn't change for the world! I love to travel and quite frankly, not being able to move scares me. My favourite thing to do right now is to book a spontaneous trip to somewhere I haven't been before :-) I am currently finishing up my Masters while saving up for my greatest trip just yet which will start in August 2018!
I play the clarinet (or at least I did before I moved to a place where the walls are so thin you'd have to hate your neighbours to practice frequently..) and I play way too much volleyball. Sports in general are what I live for - although you might just find me lounging on my couch playing xbox when I've had a long day. As my parents "forced" me to go hiking every weekend when I was little, I have only recently rediscovered the great joy a great hiking adventure means for me. That being said, I love the outdoors just as much as discovering a city and finding hidden alleys with the local charms.
Aside from travelling and sports I am a little too geeky for the average person - I invite you to talk to me about Twitch, eSports or anything else internet or technology related.
What I love most about my life is that I have had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world - which only increased my wish to go and see new places and meet new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing to meet new people! - Happiness is only real when shared.
When visiting new places, be that alone or in company, nothing compares to a great host who can give you tips and insights about the area and to be able to connect and to experience new cultures!

Music, Movies, and Books
This is a question I can't simply answer (but to be honest, who can really?)
Music mostly depends on my mood and spans over most genres! However, I have to admit that I am a massive classical and jazz fan!
I have not yet met a lot of people that have watched more movies than me! And if you have seen something that I haven't seen, I am already excited to hear reasons why I should watch it :-)!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
my friends say that my secret superpowers are to sleep anywhere at any given time (we are talking curled up on top of a festival-sized speaker) and to always be able to find a dish at a restaurant that will guaranteed be suited to your personal taste preferences.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to spike a Volleyball and how to finish all Splinter Cell Conviction Duo missions without getting into a fight with your mate.
I am also pretty good at opening beer bottles with virtually any object.
Let's share stories, talk about interesting topics and discuss opinions :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I come to crash on your couch I will provide sarcastic remarks as well as my "best-of" stories from previous trips.
You will find that I have long left the awkward "we just got to know each other, therefore we have a weird silence" stage behind me and I will skip straight to the comfortable conversation stage.
Let's share a great moment and celebrate the fact that a simple idea like couchsurfing brought two people together.
