About Me

Hi,

I like to consider myself as an open minded ecologist and hobby photographer who loves traveling. I always wanted to see at least some of the "worlds wonders" (e.g. white beaches, rough mountains, parrots, sunsets, old trees, smiling faces....). Thus, I spent my holidays backpacking, hiking, cycling, kayaking and on road trips in Norway, Sweden, Great Britan, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic and Italy.
Last year I was on a ten month cycle tour to expore the world outside of Europe. I have been cycle touring in New Zealand, Japan and South Korea. Besides I went trekking in Nepal.

During my journey I met so many great people inviting me with a warm heart. I´ll be glad to give some of the kind hospitality I experienced back .

I am looking forward meeting people from diffrent countries and sharing stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´m Couchsurfing because meeting locals is - in my opinion- one of the greatest ways to get to know other countries. It gives you an idea of how living might be like in diffrent places. They know which place are good to visit at which time and how to get there best. They can eplain some of all the questions spinning round in my head about their culture. But most important: Being allowed to share some time with other people can be an unforgetable memory.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uff, that´s hard to choose.
Guess giving up my job and flat as well as leaving friends and family behind to start bicycle touring for several month is one.
Or maybe hiking the Routeburn Track (New Zealand) late in a perfect sunset, pitching a tent on a mountain top when the full moon was rising and getting up early the next morning to watch a colorful sunrise in the cold is another.

Teach, Learn, Share

Maybe some simple cooking skills. Got told by a Kiwi that she loves the German skills of making cakes. I got very creative in making pasta dishes with just a hand full of ingredients, too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For sure a lot of stories about traveling and being in nature ;)
