Overview
About Me
I have been a seafarer since age 18, I have had the chance to discover many countries through my travels, places I would never have tought of going otherwise (Gabon, Namibie, Israël, Bali...) but somehow I always need to see and explore more! I am an enthusiastic and open-minded person, with a good sense of humor, and I love travelling without too much advanced booking - which allows to accpet the opportunities that present themselves along the way! Adventure is waiting at every corner, it's all about being able to follow it!
Apart from ships -which are a big part of my life! - I like climbing, music (I play the accordion), reading, a bit of gaming, walking, bicycling... and many more!
One thing I am not adventurous in, though, is the food: I do not eat seafood, and mostly like very simple things like vegetables, pasta or rice, steak or chicken.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be able to meet people from different parts of the world, and be able to discover the "local life", rather than being the tourist going from the plane to the resort back to the plane...
To experience, see, discover, meet, share, laugh!

Music, Movies, and Books
I do no watch many movies, but I love reading, both fiction (for example, I love Dumas (the three musketeers) and Jules Verne (around the world in 80 days)) and non-fiction - I am very curious about the world and I like reading about life experiences in different countries.
I like French variety, country music, the Beatles... and more!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rounding the Horn aboard a tall ship!
Going all around the world onboard the Picton Castle, during 15 months, visiting many Pacific Islands
