About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to majorly transcend my comfort zone in good company.

ABOUT ME

I am an explorer at heart - I observe everything around me and overthink constantly. Sometimes that can be quite annoying, but most of the time that habit provides a solid base for good conversations, which is the bread and water that keeps me going. I am curious and always on the move. I am still searching for the thing, the calling that lets me use my essence to bring something into the world that is worthy of the attention it demands and space it occupies. Slowly I am getting an idea what that could be.

PHILOSOPHY

speak your truth in a voice so soft that others want to listen. listen to their truth, even if their voice is not yet soft.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am always on the move - from one city to the next, from one internship/university to another one. I look forward to the day that I will have a steady apartment with my very own couch to host travellers. Until then I enjoy meeting friendly strangers in faraway places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a wonderful time hanging out with Mietek who hosted me in Cambridge where he spontaneously came to my rescue as I found myself stranded in the city... We had locally brewed beer and talked about consciousness and technology and the combination of the two.

Interests

I am enormously interested in how people think and behave - I could sit in public transport all day to observe people make use of public space and ponder about the underlying norms and rules that guide their behavior. The other topic that fascinates me deeply is work - how people shape their environment and themselves through the work that they do. How can work make people happy? When is work 'good work'? How can 'good work' be accessible for everyone, not just those with the money and contacts to afford it? What is good work for me?

Music, Movies, and Books

movies. I like most movies with kevin spacey, jude law ( in this case only because of jude law) and natalie portman. the usual suspects, inside man, soulkitchen, c'est la vie, le fabuleux destin d'amelie poulin etc.

most books I read revolve around human behavior, cognition or reflect on social structures that shape behavior/cognition. I enjoy poetry and crime novels as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing in front of the pyramids in egypt, looking up to the tip. i never felt so small again.

I am trying to learn not to borrow worry. Everyday anew.
