I'm a Dutch 22 years old girl, studying Law & Management in Nijmegen. I spend the second half of 2014 in North Carolina, USA, to study there at UNC, Chapel Hill. These months made me realize that I love travelling and that meeting new people and explore new things makes me really happy. That's why I'm trying to see as many new cities/countries as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After my semester abroad in the States, I'm a sort of addicted to travelling and I found out that I love to meet new people. Couchsurfing is giving everybody the opportunity to see more of the world and learn more about other cultures, cities and people. I'm happy that I can be part of this experience and invite people to my place and hope to see more of the world to visit other people!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love live (country)music and I'm just happy if I can share nice moments with friends. I'm not the kind of person who knows every new song that comes out, but I know all the popular stuff and just like to sing and dance, whenever that's possible. I have the same with movies, I'm not really into them and I prefer spending my time with friends than sitting inside, watching a movie, unless it is with friends of course. So don't expect me to know every oneliner, although I think I know most of the classic movies haha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My semester abroad in the States: meeting a lot of new friends, travelling around with them and learning something about a culture that looks so similar as mine, but is still so different. I also loved studying at law school there and I'm really happy that my English got so much better there. I know, it's not the most amazing story about an amazing experience, because it's an experience I can't describe in words! I hope that I will have a lot more of these experiences and amazing moments in my life!

Another amazing thing was a bushwalk in the early morning in the Kruger Park in South Africa. We left our lodge at 4.30 am and went with a guide for a walk in the Park. It was an amazing experience to walk in the dark in a wildlife park with a guide, see the sunrise and see a lot of dangerous animal very close to you. Would definitely recommend that!
