I'm a 32-year old veterinary student and animal trainer living in Helsinki. I have a background in technology but now I'm changing careers. You're never too old to try something new!

I have two small dogs and spend most of my spare time with them. I love all animals whatsoever and I'd like to meet your cat, spider, guinea pig or camel if you have one. I also know a bunch of useless trivia about funny fluffy creatures.

I love travelling and think I'll always be a backpacker. I do mostly trips of 1-3 weeks and try to see new places every time. I've visited over 30 countries on almost all continents but luckily there are many more to see. In the future it would be nice to live abroad for some while. It's also cool to meet other travelers and share stories.

I also love good food and I'm eager to test local specialties. The weirder the better! I don't spit into glass so I also enjoy tasting wines and other drinks but I'm not a party animal. So let's skip the bars and do something else together instead!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When travelling alone it can be a bit lonely sometimes. I find this is a great way to meet people and see the real local lifestyle. Usually the most memorable happenings are something that are a little bit of the beaten track. Saving money is also a plus.

Unfortunately my two dogs are not as welcoming as I am so I cannot host actively right now. It would be cool to host because it would allow me to meet interesting people with awesome stories more often than I can travel myself. I appreciate all the active hosts for making this awesome couchsurfing possible.

I know a lot about animals. Did you know that wombats poop is cubic shaped and giraffe is a ruminant? And how do dolphins sleep?

I can also teach you some Finnish if you're interested... or you can teach me your language and have a good laugh.
