About Me

I'm a French woman who used to travel a lot, mainly sailing.
I still love travelling but I've settled in France for a while, rising up my two children , 18 and 14.

I enjoy a peaceful and joyful life, and not to take things too seriously !

Please note that I live 15 km from La Rochelle. Although there are a few buses and trains to La Jarrie, it is easier to access us if you have a car or a bicycle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people and exchange ideas. I would find great for my kids that foreign people come to stay home and tell us about their country, their lives and adventures !

I also would be happy to provide confort and a warm welcome to travellers who would fancy sharing our family life for a few days.

Interests

I'm very fond of nature. I like wild places, ocean, mountains...

I like cooking healthy food, and try many recipes from all around the world.
I'm vegetarian.

I like to talk about the different ways of life, I like to get to know how each one manage and deal with his own hopes, goals and challenges.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes are eclectic, with a special taste for jazz.
My son plays drums, guitar and bass and lately discovered a passion for piano.

We are fond of "Harry potter", "the Hobbit" and fantasy in general.

I enjoy reading about self development and education.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed the Atlantic on a sailboat as a crew and then stayed in the Caribbean for two years as a stewardess, became a skipper and spent about 8 years of my life sailing !

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm quite open to learn about anything, sciences, astronomy, sport, DIY, drawing, playing music...

I can teach French, vegetarian cooking, baking cakes, gardening...

What I Can Share with Hosts
