Hi, my name is Anne, I'm 24 and I think life is one great adventure.

1. I'm working towards becoming a digital nomad, starting an online marketing business to take on the road.

2. I have a list of things to see in the world that's almost as tall as I am (and I'm tall).

3. I prefer bars over clubs, quality food over fast food, books over their movie interpretations, sneakers over heels, and charcoal over pencil.

4. I try to live life in the moment but often still find myself worrying about the future.

5. I've set myself the goal of reading 52 books this year and I'm just a little ahead of schedule.

6. I think a person is never done learning and developing.

7. I know a freakish amount about Belgian beers

9. I have a dream of one day starting a restaurant (and I know a toooon of people with the same dream), and a very vivid image of what the place would look like, what it would sell and where it would be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the number one object of travel is getting to know other cultures, and the only way to do that is to engage with locals, give back to the community and learn as much as you can in the time that you're there. I love to travel and to meet people who love travelling as well, they are always the best people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
My taste in music is very wide, from classic through jazz and soul to pop and rock. Not so into house and electronic.
Movies:
Cooking movies. All of them. My favourites are 'the 100 foot journey', 'Julie and Julia' and 'Chef'. Other than that I like the slightly surreal movies like 'Midnight in Paris', or the emotional ones like 'August Rush'.
Books:
Where do I even start???? I suppose with authors. Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, J.K. Rowling, Patrick Rothfuss (and these are just the fantasy ones) there are too many to list. Let's just say I'll devour any book you give me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled to Peru for 2 months on my own to do volunteer work. Best 2 months ever, I taught English at a secondary school and stayed with a host family. I met so many interesting super sweet people and I learned a lot about South America, about culture differences, and about myself too.

Learn: I'd love to learn more Spanish, anything about other cultures, and recipes native to whatever country I'm visiting

My cooking skills. I've been experimenting with food for a good long while now. I love cooking and baking and I live for feeding people something they really like.

I'm also more than willing to share my online marketing skills with anyone willing to host me. I've been learning about and working with digital marketing for about 2 years now.
