I am Anne-Sophie from France, I am 25 years old and am currently working in an international agency focusing on research about cancer, so everyday it is so fun to speak to people coming all over the world. I really like that, learning new things, discovering new cultures.
My working topics is to study the impact of food on the fatty acids blood profile of people. Samples are coming from Africa, America, Europe, ...
Before I have worked on a proteomics study with a therapy targeting the phosphorylation of some proteins from cancer cells.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like too much to travel and finally decided to sign up on Couchsurfing website because I like to meet local people, to share moments and just to enjoy life. How to visit better a place by knowing tips from locals? I recently decided to truly discover the real meaning of trips by going on my own and not with only friends, because I felt I was not really getting involved in the trip.
I have no experience in Couchsurfing but I am really motivated to get some. Hope some of you can help me during my beginer time.

Interests

I like moutains as I lived during 3 years in Haute-Savoie. I like climbing, hiking, swimming, skiing and also yoga as sports.
I like carsharing when I am travelling into France with people, riding is more fun and then you don't see time spending.

Music, Movies, and Books

Concerning music, I am fond of electro music, pop-rock, classical. I am really open minded and like to discover new groups.
I like also to read (Georges Orwell, Ray Bradbury, Aldous Huxley, etc.), to write and to go in bar drinking beers and wine with people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During French music festival I was spending in Paris with some friends, they thrown me in the Trocadero artifical lake in front of the big music scene with my MP4 and phone (just the phone survives by miracle!). I didn't choose it but it was really fun and crazy. Finally in the last metro to come back, I can say I was the only person to get place in line M13 as I was completly wet and scarying people.
This experience gives me motivation to cross lake in Savoie ;), I am joking, not the real motivation but there is idea from that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you French, give you tips to visit Lyon or about my previous trips.
I can teach you my "knowledge" in biology, biochemistry, give you some tips for some Savoie ski stations, or good hiking to do.
I can try to bring you some French good food (miam!! ;))

What I Can Share with Hosts

For the moment, my flat is so small in Lyon, but if I optimized it and that people are not afraid to be in a small flat, I will accomodate you with pleasure.
I can come to bars with you and can arrange some visit into the city if required.
