About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm 26 years old and originally from Hannover, Germany. I just finished studying an Erasmus Mundus Master Programme which allowed me to travel around Europe and get to know different Cultures and Traditions of Outdoor Education. Before I will start working, I want to use the occasion to travel New Zealand - a country I've always been dreaming of. :) I am travelling together with my boyfriend Niko, who studied politics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've made some Couchsurf experience in Canada and really liked it as a way of meeting new people and get some local insights! Of course it helps travelling on a budget, too, and I'm looking forward to return the favour, once I have an actual place I'm staying.

Interests

I'm very much into all kinds of different ways to be outdoors and enjoy nature! No matter if climbing and mountainbiking or just gardening, hiking and sitting by a campfire.. I especially like to play canoe polo and paddle nice rivers with easy Whitewater. My passion are sled dogs, which I work with in summertimes in a pedagogic insitution. In Canada, i spent a winter training race dogs in the Yukon bush.
Besides the outdoors, I'm very much into music like all kinds of indie and singer songwriter stuff. I also enjoy a nice cosy inside day with a good book and a cup of tea.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my most amazing experiences was a winter season as a dog handler in a race kennel in Canada. Living in the Yukon bush without running water and electricity, taking care of 50 dogs and training them every day was one of the most intense times I could possibly imagine.
