About Me
Easy going lover of Life! Currently on a journey of learning how to water the grass around me instead of (or at least before I start) looking around the world for greener grass. I've lived on 4 continents, doing everything from baby sitting in Hawaii to camel farming in central Australia. I do freelance journalism and I am genuinely interested in people. A firm believer that in order to find out what's possible we have to attempt the impossible!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Simply signed up for couch surfing because I was doing a Summer School program at Harvard, and had the best time, couch surfing for 5 weeks, saving about 4700$ that way. Now I want to give something back, and I'm excited to host people in Oslo! Also I just love the concept.

Music, Movies, and Books
Definitely more of a podcast-person than music person. I do write songs though. Just got a microphone too, so I can start experimenting with recoding music and pods.
Favorite book? No idea but I'm actually just reading Don Quijote! I know, that would have surprised me too a few years ago, but I just discovered this facinating thing: Writers back in the day were able to get away with criticizing their current sociaty and power structures in ways they probably would have been punished for had they said it straight out. So if you can read between the fictional lines you'll taste their experience of reality. Sometimes the best history books when it comes to social criticism are the most poetic, fictional ones . The writers seem to be using the "soophisticated" writing to make it seem less threthening to the people abusing their power.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
jumped off the 55th floor of a sky scraper (in a "pro life" way!) ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I just started doing improv-theatre, and i LOVE it! Any way I can share that would be great!! There's a free English workshop in Oslo every Wednesday at 6pm!
I've learned some really awesome study techniques lately, that totally transformed the way I learn - especially langauges are sooo much easier.. ! I do lots of social experiements that I blog about: Having heart-to-heart conversations with strangers in coffee shops, practising rejection, making art for strangers.. I also love ANYTHING I can learn about environmental innovation and Climate-Creaticity!
I am an open minded Christian and I've studied Philosophy, so I love diving deep, but I never force anyone under water, even though I'm convinced our hearts and brains breath better there.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy making food or doing everyday life stuff together, and wile being hosted it's an honor to be trusted and allowed to help out around the house!
I try to always offer fresh snacks or baked goods for my surfers. No need to pay, but if you want to, all donations will go towards the next surfers 👌🏄🏼
I also have a blog where I sometimes write in English. Www.honningikaffen.com,
