About Me

Hi, I'm 31 on the 31st of January and realise that will never happen again in my life. I don't know how I feel about that - half expectant half ambivalent.

I'm currently travelling around Australia because I got to 30 and decided instead of being annoyed that I hadn't travelled very far, I would buy a ticket and just go - it was the best (maybe second best...) thing I've ever done.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend cycled from New York to San Fransisco and stayed with a lot of people on Couchsurfers and can't recommend the site enough for facilitating meeting so many beautiful and down to earth souls.

Whilst travelling I want to see the real country and real people - not just bumble along the tourist path and see a caricature of a place.

Whilst I don't have a home to offer out at the moment, I will do as soon as I'm back in the UK so I can pay it forward.

Interests

Seeing things I've never seen before like a Pelican in the wild, or a rain forest, or architecture.

Theatre. I'm travelling because I didn't have the courage to take the plunge to try and make a living out of acting and theatre. I don't know if I'll get home and suddenly have the courage, but I know the theatre is as much keeping me alive as oxygen.

Music. I play to reconnect with myself. I play because it makes me feel good. Last summer I did a theatre tour with a friend and we were both the live music in the form of a Blue Grass band as well as the actors. I wish I had brought my violin with me, it would have been much easier than the piano.

Being outside. Whether it's sitting in the garden reading a book, climbing a mountain or just walking about - I prefer being outside to inside.

Reading. Books change your soul. They shape your outlook. They make you brave and provide you with more questions when you thought you were looking for answers. Books are amazing and I don't read enough of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One?!

Teach, Learn, Share

We've all got something to learn and to share and to hopefully teach. I'm open to everything and learning is possibly my favourite thing of all.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Down to earth attitude. A semblance of sense of humour - it depends on yours as to whether you find mine funny! I can cook and clean and love hearing other people's stories. I can teach you the piano but only if you have one in your house.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, England
