well, i'm a grad student. i take classes and assistant teach. i love my boyfriend, josh. i run and ride my bike and would like to get a horse. i do research in propagating white oaks. i wish i had a cat. i wish ithaca was a little warmer.

PHILOSOPHY

one day at a time. that is seriously the only way that i can do it.

had wonderful hosts and experiences couch surfing in Athens, Greece. and in Tel Aviv.
i love greece.

done quite a bit of hiking, backpacking-- love it. love anything having to do with the outdoors and mountains. enthusiastic birder and plant nerd. reading and writing...

some of my favorite writers: Sherman Alexie, William Faulker, Virginia Woolf, Flannery O'Connor, Hermann Hesse, Dostoevsky... music: at the moment its ben folds, sigur ros and bon iver. Rodrigo y Gabriela. Mozart's Requiem is an all time favorite.
dont watch a lot of movies, but i can name my permanent celebrity crushes: clark gable, steve mcqueen and adrien brody.

was scared out of my mind hiking along the side of a mountain in the swiss alps. then the chamois went galloping past. and we all starting laughing the craziest laughter i've ever heard...
