About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be brave and grow.

ABOUT ME

I am calm, lazy and creative. I daydream. I prefer sweet food over savoury. But really I'll eat mostly anything that is edible. I recently ate a sea snail though and that was really gross so I don't want to do that again. I speak english, and enough portuguese to get me out of trouble (or into trouble). I tend towards introversion, but happiness is having something to share with another person.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't stress about the little things and remember that everyone you meet knows something you don't know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To find someplace safe to lay my head while away and gain a glimpse into the life of someone new.

Interests

Drawing, documentaries, film making, films, language learning, traveling, sleeping, weird facts, foooood, making things, sitting in the sunshine, reading.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've in the middle of a slump with music, I think I've over listened to all my favourites and I'm having trouble finding new stuff. Usually I go for pop female vocals. I like good music too don't worry. I'm afraid I don't like metal, sorry.
Right now I'm re-reading the Harry Potter series in portuguese.
Favourite movies: The Matrix (ever since I was ten), Cloud Atlas, Avatar (don't judge, it was beautiful) and Dogma

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm afraid I'm going to boast now with a multitude of cool things, skip over if you find that nauseating:

I directed two short films and watched them played on a big cinema screen for 130 people to see (to be honest they were my fellow film students).
I swam with a dolphin (with bad breath), been in a helicopter, held a baby crocodile, gone up in a hot air ballon, eaten african fire ants (covered in chocolate) and spent one night puking my guts up in a gay bar in Hong Kong when I was 15.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to draw, or help you practise english maybe? Also I know a kicking type of dance that hurts you and your partner while you do it if you want to learn that? And I'm sure we could share a packet of biscuits together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll cook you a tasty dinner, especially if you like sweet sauces, italian inspired food (I don't really follow exact recipes), vegetarian dishes, pizza or a big roast chicken with a lemon shoved up it's bum which is so so yummy, juicy and succulent. I also do really great mashed potatoes, the secret is going crazy with the butter.
