About Me

I am studying agricultural sciences. Within that field I'm mainly interested in organic agriculture and how we can make agriculture ecologically sustainable.
In my free time I often go hiking, moutain biking, swimming or drinking with friends.
I'm an open minded person and I love to discuss and/or joke about politics, movies, shows,... I also love to learn about different cultures and ways of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After graduating from school, I had a great time Couchsurfing in Canada. I met lots of amazing people and got to know the country's culture from the locals which was a great experience. Since then I have surfed in several countries.
Couchsurfing is a great way to travel and meet people. I always find it an interesting experience to learn about different view points, culture and habits.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music, I mainly listen to rock and punk, like Rise Against, Billy Talent, Zebrahead, die Ärzte, Royal Republic, Enter Shikari,....
In movies and shows, I'm a big fan of dark comedies, thrillers and action. Some of my favourite movies are In Bruges, Hot Fuzz, Life of Brian, the short film 6 shooter, some German movies like Der Wixxer, Schuh des Manitu..
I must admit I don't read a lot, but when I do it's quite various, I like crime novels for example by Peter James or Tana French, some funny things like the Känguru-Chroniken by Marc-Uwe Kling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a bicycle trip along the south coast of Ireland and I was amazed by all the friendly people I met and who helped when I e.g. had a flat tyre and who let me camp on their property. Some of them even invited me in for breakfast.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what I can teach.. I guess I can teach some German words, toasts or drinking games. Or if anyone is interested I can talk for hours about agricultural systems...
I am trying to learn Swahili at the moment, so meeting people who can help me with that would be cool.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully some fun and interesting conversations, toasts, travelling stories,....
