ABOUT ME

i tend to be a pretty busy person. i like to say i hope i never again have a full-time job, preferring to split my hours amongst multiple pursuits. a weakness for vintage bicycles has filled my garage. a similar weakness for cast-iron cookware has filled my oven. my nieces are my inspiration. old women no one else has ever heard of are my heroes. camp (F&W!) has a very special place in my heart and is my refuge.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

to date, i've been more of an informal couch surfer--becoming friends with rideshares from craigslist, inviting bike-tourers to the neighborhood barbeque, and asking farmers if it's okay for me to sleep in their field for the night. maybe it's a sign of aging, but i'm becoming open to a little more planning--especially when it comes to knowing where i'll be sleeping tomorrow night!
