ABOUT ME
I spent the first half of my life in Belgium and the second part in Canada ... feeling lucky to have had some special travel adventures along the way. Up until recently I lived in communal homes, where meals can be prepared and shared together, music is always playing and ideas circulating and stimulating.
I recently made the move back to Europe and through hosting I would love to bring back some of these great commmunal vibes!
I am currently taking a break from working from working for documentary festivals in Toronto and Amsterdam and finding out what producing film is all about through a gig as a production coordinator. Always happy to talk about documentaries though!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Back in Toronto, we've hosted many friends, and friends of friends in our home. I've couchsurfed myself and appreciated the hospitality immensely - I'd like to offer the same. Some of the conversations during couch surfing are with my forever. Now that I'm back in Europe, I'd love to open up my home again to true travelers.
On that note, I truly believe in the sharing principles behind couchsurfing - the idea also of enriching our lives by the encounters we have with one another and the interests we share, wherever we find ourselves. To me, life really is a journey where wonderful people cross our paths and those moments are, in some ways, what give us direction.
If I sense a genuine interest, I will happily do what I can to host you.
Interests
Camping + making campfires, canoeing, going for hikes, playing squash, reading books and newspapers, going to concerts and festivals, checking out film and documentary, all sorts of sewing projects, rock climbing, making pottery, sustainable farming + gardening + composting, green building ( want to learn a lot more about this), exploring places, promoting fair trade, reiki, going for swims in lakes, rivers and pools ...

Music, Movies, and Books
Ever changing ... depending on moods and company, time of day, time of year, city ... though some constants I could listen to anytime are Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Jefferson Airplane, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Django Reinhard & Jacques Brel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paddled the same rivers taken by gold seekers a century ago during the Klondike gold rush, for days on end, under the never-setting sun, going on nightly hikes on the thickest beds of moss I'd ever seen.
