ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Annelies, 23 years old and I have studied Conflict Studies and Human Rights in Utrecht, the Netherlands. I love travelling, have done so in e.g. Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Indonesia. I like to getting to know more about other cultures, languages and politics and I'm very open-minded to that! I love music and am probably one of the biggest fans of John Mayer, food, going out and dancing (although I suck at that, it's still fun).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because travelling on your own is the best, as long as you can meet new people! :-)

Interests

I love music (almost everything, except for heavy metal and really weird trans-things), being outside, swimming and field hockey, I love the sun and snow (but I'd rather skip the Netherlands' in-between-everything-climate), love talking about politics and difficult ethical things sometimes and Dutch bread with chocolate sprinkles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking in Myanmar in a small village without any access to the outside world except for a local bus once in few hours!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn Spanish and German better (love the DuoLingo app) and Arabic! But I don't have enough time usually to fully go for it, Krav Maga and playing guitar more :-)
