Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I've decided to branch out, become an independent traveler, and move to New Zealand for a year. My goal is to travel while looking for a rural community to live and work in- ideally, to find a nursing job working with midwives or in public health.
ABOUT ME
I'm outgoing, adventurous, and flexible. I love to hike (or tramp), climb, kayak, and meet new people. I left Seattle with the intention of living somewhere else for a while and exploring rural life in New Zealand. I worked as a Labor and Delivery/Obstetrical Nurse in Seattle for three years and am planning to go back to graduate school, eventually, to study midwifery and public/international health. To that end, I'm hoping to learn about midwifery in New Zealand and would like to live in a rural community.
PHILOSOPHY
Keep life exciting and meaningful and avoid falling too much into a routine of daily life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to the CS project and am hoping to participate first by surfing. I'll look forward to hosting someday when I have a home and couch to offer. For the next year I hope to meet new people, try new activities in new places, and get in touch with local life in New Zealand.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I don't have too much experience yet, but am looking forward to changing that. I did spend the last two months couch surfing in my hometown of Seattle while getting ready to leave for New Zealand.
