I am upbeat, easygoing and open minded. I love exploring new places and learning new languages, and especially to meet people from around the world whilst doing this!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a student at the moment and have the luck of being able to live with my parents until I finish university, and so regrettably I won't have my own apartment, or couch, for a few years, so I'll be surfing more than hosting.
However, while I'm in my home city (Montreal) I can definitely hang out, either to grab a beer or show you around town!

Interests

I like reading, watching movies, knitting, baking (especially well-decorated cupcakes), making jewellery, making costumes (I love Halloween!, yoga, running (I like it but I'm not very good at it), and I'll add anything else when I think of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot and watch a lot of movies, so it's hard to define precisely what my favourite genres are. For books, I love detective novels, from Sherlock Holmes to Marlowe; the Hunger Games, Oscar Wilde, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Harry Potter, 1984, Narnia, and oh so many more.
As for movies, I guess my favourites are Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, anything Pixar or Disney, and anything with British humour (I love Monthy Python).
As for music I mostly listen to indie-rock, or just rock

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I will never forget the first time I took a plane. It was sunset over the Atlantic, I could see the entire sky bursting into colours over the curvature of the earth, and I've been hooked to travel ever since (despite the longer and therefore less comfortable flights since...)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fully bilingual in French and English, and so it would be my pleasure to help anyone learn either!
As for learning myself, I really like meeting people who speak some of the languages I'm learning (spanish, portuguese, mandarin and german) because I love getting occasions to practice!
