Hello there,

my name is Anni and I want to see the world.

I am a rather quiet person and have only joined this community recently.

So far I havn't really been around much (mainly because of school) but that will change soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first heard about Couch Surfing from my sister who has really been bitten by the travel bug.

It hasn't always been easy for me to meet new people or visit places I have never been to before (I still get anxious sometimes).
But all the positive things I have heard about this community have convinced me to finally beat my fear into submission, go experience the world for myself and hopefully meet many wonderful people along the way.

Interests

Basically I am interested in everything.

But some things I am especially passionate about are science fiction, musicals, nature, being active (outdoors and indoors), being creative and learning about the customs and traditions of people with different backgrounds.

My hobbies include musical theatre (singing, dancing, acting), reading and I am also learning to play the violine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music

Currently I am mostly listening to musical soundtracks and classical music.
All music is beautiful and moving in its own special way though, so I don't really have a favourite genre.

Books

I read everything that I can get my hands on.

I especially like science fiction, mystery, fantasy and adventure novels but also non-fiction books about topics like astronomy, plants or the deep sea.

Douglas Adams is one of my favourite authors.

Movies

I don't actually watch that many movies or series, but when I do I prefer science fiction  (Star Trek), comedy (movies with Louis de Funès), comedy science fiction (Galaxy Quest, Paul) or  series that deal with the strange and mysterious (Gravity Falls). 
And of course musical movies like La La Land, Rent or Hair. 

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always happy to learn new things and adapt new skills.

And maybe if you want to work on your singing skills I might be able to give you a few tipps.
I would also love to hear about your musical interests (or any other interests :D).

I could also help you learn some German or English, if you like and would of course love to learn some new linguistic skills from you as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook and bake (strictly vegan) and even though I often just improvise a meal together, I get positive feedbacks most often than not :)

I may not be the most talkative person but I can listen and am very patient if I want to learn a new skill or really comprehend something.
