ABOUT ME
Hei! I am half American, half German, but grew up in Finland. I feel myself more a world citizen than particularly Finnish (of course some Finnish qualities have inevitably stuck over the years). I can horrify and fascinate you with the quirks of my native language, Finnish. Some of my favorite topics to discuss are all things at the intersection of the arts, history and science.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As of the completion of my studies in Bern, I am pretty much in between countries as I don't yet know where the next job/internship/fellowship will take me. Hosting so far has been so rewarding for the great people I have met so far, but also the possibility to really explore my hometown with new eyes, travelling locally! Wherever I settle next I hope to continue hosting and surf whenever possible during future travels.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I like films and books which you can reflect on and lift you up out of your reality. Some of my favorite films are Before Sunrise, Into the Wild, Little Miss Sunshine, Ida, Call Me by Your Name, Three Colours Trilogy.

I also identify as the Harry Potter generation - this book series got me into reading! Other evergreens are Moominpappa at Sea, The Little Prince, The Hours, The Unbearable Lightness of Being.

As for music, Sigur rós was for me a revelation and has a special place in my heart, growing up mainly on classical music. I enjoy all kinds of music of the likes of Iron and Wine, The Arctic Monkeys, old school metal, Foals, Florence and the Machine, Ólafur Árnalds and the cello suites of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Some of the best things to share are stories, best done while strolling through the city, gallery exhibits or with a cup of tea.
