ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm currently full-time employed at Bangor University. As I live by myself it can get a little lonely and boring so I'd love to host someone once in a while or just hang out with people.

As an expat I try to balance my holidays between traveling and going back home to see my friends and family.

I was born in Germany and have lived in Australia (High-school exchange), the Netherlands (for under- and postgrad) and am now in lovely Northwest Wales.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different types of movies, that can be thought-provoking, funny, visually stimulating and/or educating. I don't like overly cliché rom-coms and horror though.

Music wise I like easy-listening stuff, think Jack Johnson, something that can be played comfortably in the background.

The kind of books I like are much like the kind of movies I like. One of my favourite standby genres would be historical novels but I'm open to other kinds of books, eg the odd thriller/biography/educational book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam amidst a school of zebra fish in the Great Barrier reef, mind-blowing! And counting shooting stars on the beach at night.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can explore the beautiful surroundings, cook together, watch movies, talk. Or we can just hang out quietly. I'm more of a laid back person, who likes to sleep at a reasonable time and while I like to socialise, I'm definitely not a party animal (so I would appreciate to host people who feel similarly).
