ABOUT ME

I consider myself pretty easygoing and fun to be around, I can definitely laugh at myself. In my line of work you have to be creative and a bit crazy, usually it's pretty easy to throw myself into totally new things. On the other hand, I love to quiet down, have good, deep conversations with people or take my time to wander around all by myself.

I work as a freelancer, in other words, I might work the whole year around or only for 6 months. When I'm unemployed, I travel (abroad or in Finland), spend time with my friends, try to remember to read books, watch TV/movies, do my best to exercise (I'm quite lazy....), take part in events, enjoy culture in all forms.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately I've couchsurfed only a few times. I use a lot of airb'n'b and quite often my travels are work related, so couchsurfing hasn't been an option. Living like a local is the thing for me. In Finland almost all my life I've lived with a room mate so I'm good in respecting others and tidiness.

I travel as often as I can, but quite seldom I visit "the main attractions". I prefer to visit small cafes, old libraries, wander around a bohemian neighborhood, quite down in cemeteries, do shopping in flea markets, etc. Places I prefer are usually the kind of pearls only locals know.

兴趣

Easiest to say culture in all forms. I love stories, I'm fascinated by old things that have history and you can actually see it.

Ecological matters are important to me, I try to educate myself in that area. In addition to my everyday life, I also try to act sustainably in my travels. I'm mostly vegetarian. Don't get me wrong - although being green is important to me, I am not preachy about it.

我可以与沙发主分享些什么

If there's rye flour available and an oven that heats up to 450'F/250'c (or more!), I can make tasty Karelian pies. I can also bake a tasty cheese cake or Finnish style pancakes (on a baking tray).

One day I'd love to write here something most CS's do - that I'm a good cook. Unfortunately, I'm not. But I'm the best assistant you'll ever have! Tell me to chop, stir, whatever, I'll do it. And I can clean up, I'm a tidy person.

I don't think I have any hidden talents so I'll just write here I think I'm good company.

(Okay, I was a croupier for 7 years, I can deal a round of black jack! And I can teach you weird Finnish words.)
